Pharmacy offers new four-in-one check-up

 

13-Jan-2008: REDDITCH residents concerned about their health can take advantage of a cheap health check being offered by Tesco Pharmacy.

Half of British adults are overweight, one in three are affected by high blood pressure and two thirds have high cholesterol. It is also estimated that 750,000 suffer from diabetes but are totally unaware of it.

The new health check is an easy effective way for people to stay on top of their health, by assessing their current health and whether they risk developing problems in the future.

The four-in-one check comprises weight management, blood pressure check, total cholesterol check and diabetes screening. Undertaken in a private consultation area, a typical appointment lasts approximately 30 minutes and costs just ?20. From January to early March, people can take advantage of a special offer to celebrate the launch when the health check will be available for only ?10.

Results are available immediately and are explained by the pharmacist who will also provide appropriate lifestyle advice on any next steps you might need to take.
